This program is designed to assist GPs and their staff with the computerisation of their practice. The Division provides phone support and resource to comply with e-Healht initiatives and improve information management in General Practice.

Secure Messaging

Secure Messaging is an essential component to comply with the eHealth Practice Incentive. Practices must have a secure messaging capability that will allow patient clinical and medical information to be securely exchanged where possible. 

From July 2010, St George Hospital has commenced sending Discharge Summaries via secure e-mail. Argus Software is the program adopted by Area Health. Please review the following docements & complete the registration form

eHealth Practice Incentive

The PIP eHealth Incentive will commence from August 2009. The incentive aims to encourage the use of electronic health systems in PIP practices.
