This program is designed to assist GPs and their staff with the computerisation of their practice. The Division provides phone support and resource to comply with e-Healht initiatives and improve information management in General Practice.

eHealth Practice Incentive

The PIP eHealth Incentive will commence from August 2009. The incentive aims to encourage the use of electronic health systems in PIP practices.

• The PIP eHealth Incentive will replace the existing PIP IM/IT Incentive

• First payment August 2009. Able to claim May, June & July if meet criteria

• Practice must meet all 3 criteria to be eligible for incentive (see to do list)

• Payment of $6.50 per Standard Whole Patient Equivalent (SWPE)

• Capped at $12,500 per practice per quarter ($50K per practice per year)
